National Media Relations

Created in 2005, the Department of National Media Relations was charged with raising the University’s positive visibility in major national publications and broadcast outlets. The department is responsible for crafting national media strategies that enhance Pitt’s reputation; as well as developing and placing stories that illustrate the University’s national and international excellence and its commitment to research, education, and regional development.
